In
addition to the previously announced updates (in December 2004) to the Harare
cemeteries - ZJC is
honoured to announce the addition of photographs for the tombstones of the
Bulawayo Cemet ery.
The Bulawayo photographs were taken by Vicky Kaufman, the textual records and
mapping were done by Sheila Broomberg and Judy Chitrin. ZJC and all its readers
thank them for the enormous amount of time and effort put into this project.
The
Harare, KweKwe and Kadoma pictures were taken by Benny Leon of Harare and we thank him
for his great efforts in assisting this project.
The
pages listed on the left provide links to the underlying pages
for the cemetery records of Harare (Pioneer St and Warren Hills), Bulawayo , KweKwe and Kadoma (formerly Gatooma).
The records
for Harare are listed by grave number and in addition there are albums listing
the graves alphabetically. Eventually we hope to have a database format for searching for
records.
Bulawayo
records are listed alphabetically and include approximately 1,240 images.
